The new model DST has been created for the most binding National and International challenges and belongs to the second generation of engines intended for the OK category: this model has the same important technical and sporting features of its winning forerunner, the DDS, developing every single detail. This project, totally new, involved the technical division of Vortex towards the achievement of three important targets: lightness, reduced dimensions, lowering of the center of gravity and a refined research in materials and in the weight and cargo distribution. To obtain these results, the crankcase has been redesigned together with fundamental components such as, crankshaft, balance shaft and connecting rod. The balance shaft is now working in the air and no longer in a chamber filled with oil, allowing a further friction reduction. The new crankcase design is more compact and stiffer, like never before.


The DST is the result of CNC machining, whose production system guarantees quality, efficiency and very high production standards. The DST is a top-product in matter of lightness, actually its weight is now 15% lower compared to the previous model (already with a very low weight).

Like the previous model DDS, the DST is equipped with homologated components, according to the current international regulation: 24mm carburettor, muffler and ignition system limited to 16,000 RPM.
