TITLE AND GOOD PERFORMANCES FOR VORTEX IN PORTIMAO

The engines of the OTK Kart Group are impressing with their speed in the last round of the Champions of the Future with Vortex gaining the first position in the championship of the OK category


OK - With Nikita Bedrin winning the Champions of the Future, Vortex is registering his fourth title of the season. On the Kartodromo Internacional do Algarve, Vortex DST engines are brilliantly standing out not only with the Russian, winner of the Prefinal after recovering 13 positions and author of two best laps, but also with the Englishman Joseph Turney (Tony Kart Racing Team), second in the championship and winner of 3 Qualifying Heats over the weekend. In Final, Callum Bradshaw (Tony Kart Racing Team) makes the most of the Vortex DTS power and reach the fifth place after starting from the 18th position. In top ten also Noah Degnbol (Ward Racing) while Luigi Coluccio (Kosmic Kart Racing Department), author of the second place in Prefinal, is unfortunately involved in a brawl during the first lap. Finally, excellent constancy shown by Markus Kajak (Ward Racing) always in top 5 in the heats and author of a second place.

OKJ - DJT engines represent the 37% of the total number of engines lined up in Portimao. The Junior engine by Vortex is proving to be top quality also on the Portuguese track where it is recoding a total of 7 best laps. The first one is scored by Tobias Clausen (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), but the real star of the weekend is Rintaro Sato (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), the best among the drivers equipped Vortex in the Final. The standard bearer of Ricky Flynn Motorsport crosses the finish line in fourth position, wins three Qualifying Heats and is the author of 6 best laps, two of which were signed in Final and Prefinal. In the decisive race, behind him is his teammate Freddie Slater, third in the championship and getting two third places in the Qualifying Heats. In the group of the top ten we find Aaron Walker (Tony Kart Racing Team) while his teammate Tuukka Taponen is among the best of the grid with two second places conquered in the heats. Great recovery for Alfio Spina (Tony Kart Racing Team), able to enter the final after not taking part in the qualifying heats.
