VORTEX WINS ONCE MORE AT THE “COTF” OF ZUERA

On the occasion of the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series run at the Circuito Internacional de Zuera (Spain), our DJT engine wins once more in OKJ class with Dmitry Matveev. Moreover, podium in the OK category, with Ean Eyckmans and the DST unit.


OKJ – The long winning streak of our DJT engine in the "Junior" category of the single-speed karts is going on. Dmitry Matveev (Koski Motorsport) doesn't make any mistakes at the traffic lights off and, taking advantage of his start from the inner line, he quickly jumps from the seventh position to the first in a few laps. The driver of Koski Motorsport passes undisturbed under the chequered flag and conquers the victory, only 7 days after his success in Portimao (Portugal) valid for the FIA Karting European Championship.
With 31% of the starting grid made up of Vortex-powered drivers, the final also sees Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart Racing Team) in the Top 10, author of a victory in the Sunday morning's super heat. By a matter of tenths of a second, Oleksandr Bondarev (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) finishes not far from the top ten drivers in the ranking.
Enzo Tarnvanichkul (Tony Kart Racing Team), Kian Fardin (Ward Racing), Douwe Dedecker (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), Maciej Gladysz (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), Arthur Dorison (Tony Kart Racing Team), Guillaume Bouzar (Koski Motorsport), Marcus Saeter (Ward Racing) and Thomas Strauven (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) also gain the access to the final.

OK - Our DST engine grabs again the podium in the master class of the single-speed karts. In the qualifying session, three drivers are classified in the first six positions of the combined ranking with our Vortex. The weekend goes on with not less than 9 victories and 9 fastest laps in the qualifying heats, exactly 60% of the races scheduled.
In the final, which sees 14 Vortex-powered drivers at the start (about 40% of the starters), Joseph Turney (Tony Kart Racing Team) jumps from pole position also thanks to his victory in super heat 1 and finishes at the foot of the podium, behind a worthy Ean Eyckmans (EGP Racing Team), third. Another 4 DST units make up the Top 10, for a total of 6 engines: they are the Vortex engines of Oscar Pedersen (Ward Racing), James Egozi (Tony Kart Racing Team), Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Maxim Rehm (Ricky Flynn Motorsport
Remarkable comebacks performed by Tuukka Taponen (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Keanu Al Azhari (Tony Kart Racing Team), with 13 positions up in the standings for the Finnish drover and 21 positions recovered by his teammate. Freddie Slater (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), Juho Valtanen (Tony Kart Racing Team), Maksimilian Popov (Ward Racing), Caspian Hagman (Ward Racing), David Walther (Koski Motorsport) and Eemeli Koivisto (Koski Motorsport) also run the final.
