VICTORIES AND TITLE FOR VORTEX AT THE WSK EURO SERIES
At the grand finale of the WSK Promotion series, Alfio Spina wins the decisive race of the second round and conquers the first place in the OKJ category. Victory also in OK with Joseph Turney, then third in the championship.
OKJ: Thanks to a victory and a second place gained in the last two finals of the championship, Alfio Spina (Tony Kart Racing Team) is the new champion of the WSK Euro Series. Another important success for our DJT engines, that reach a total of 33% of the engines registered in the category. Vortex engines are exceptionally fast, with three best laps centred right by Alfio Spina, including one in prefinal, besides the one signed by Maceo Capietto (Kosmic Kart Racing Department) in the final of the third round ended in fourth position. Great results with Vortex also for Coskun Irfan (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), climbing up onto the third step of the podium in the final of the second round and Harley Keeble (Tony Kart Racing Team), always in top 10 in all the heats where he gathers two second and two third places, closing sixth in the final of the second round.
OK: Joseph Turney (Tony Kart Racing Team) is the one who gains the other success of the weekend for Vortex, bringing our DST engines onto the first and the second step of the podium in both finals. The Englishman is also the author of the Pole Position valid for the second round, he gains 2 victories in the heats and another first and second position in prefinals, where he centres the best lap too, after the one signed in the heats. Vortex is playing a leading role also with Nikita Bedrin (Ward Racing), second in the final valid for the third round, author of the best lap in the one valid for the second round and three great results in the heats, where he centres three further best laps. Among the best of the line-up, we also find Luigi Coluccio (Kosmic Kart Racing Department), winner of one heat and then fourth and fifth in the finals, and Charlie Wurz (Exprit Racing Team) sixth in the decisive race of the second round. Norton Andreasson (Ward Racing) is the author of an amazing comeback of 21 positions in the final of round 3.
KZ: Vortex is present in Lonato also with RSZ and RTZ engines, pushing the Frenchman Emilien Denner (Tony Kart Racing Team) toward 2 results in top 10. Great performance for Lorenzo Camplese (SC Performance), author of a best lap, a second place in the heats and a third place in prefinal. The two best laps signed by Davide Forè (Renda Motorsport) are marked Vortex too.
MINI: Victory in the heats for James Egozi (Tony Kart Racing Team), who, powered MINI MCX, crosses the finishing line within the first ten in both finals while the Frenchman Jimmy Helias (Tony Kart Racing Team) centres the top 10 in both prefinals.
