Vortex pole and podium in Cremona
On the occasion of the fourth round of the season of the Champions of the Future Euro Series, the VTS engine gains the first position in the qualifying heats reserved for the OK category and closes the weekend with a third place in the final
OK - The VTS engine hits the top-standings at the end of Friday's qualifyings, with Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart Racing Team) in pole position thanks to a time of 47.533 seconds, a record time that will remain unbeaten for the rest of the weekend. At the top of the ranking we also find Sebastiano Pavan (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Leo Nilsson (Ward Racing), second and third in Group 2, respectively. Also the results obtained in the qualifying heats are rich, in fact Vortex collects 6 victories (40% of the scheduled heats), 8 Top-3 placings and 2 fastest laps, besides two additional podiums in the following super heats.
The final sees Coluccio again in front of everyone, while his teammate Pavan jumps from the third box on the starting grid. At the start, the two drivers constantly occupy the top positions, but during the race it is David Walther (Koski Motorsport) who leads the race conquering the lowest step of the podium, ahead of Coluccio and Pavan.
An accident in the first bends puts an innocent Aleksandar Bogunovic (Tony Kart Racing Team) out of the track, author of a podium in the eliminatory heats. The same fate also for Jan Przyrowski (Tony Kart Racing Team), due to a collision on lap 7. Nilsson also attends the final.
OKJ - Leader in the Junior class is the VTJ engine, able to get the Top 5 in the first group of the chrono practices with Scott Kin Lindblom (Tony Kart Racing Team) and in the second one with Ludovico Busso (Ward Racing). In the qualifying heats, instead, Vortex achieves two podiums, signed by Lindblom and Ludovico Busso (Tony Kart Racing Team).
The last race of the weekend sees two important comebacks: Oliver Kinnmark (Koski Motorsport) who recovers a total of 9 positions and finishes in the Top 10. His outstanding performance is also witnessed by the best lap gained in the final. Bottaro, on the other hand, climbs the ranking by 12 positions compared to his position on the starting grid. On track in the final we also find Busso, Kirill Dzitiev (Tony Kart Racing Team), Lindblom, Maria Germano Neto (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Alp Hasan Aksoy (Tony Kart Racing Team).
