Vortex on the podium again at the WSK Euro Series in Franciacorta
On the occasion of the first round of the championship, OTK Kart Group's "engine division" conquers the second position in the final of the MINI Gr.3 with Leonardo Gorski (Tony Kart Racing Team), powered by the VTM engine.
After having collected two victories in the previous two rounds of the Italian ACI Karting Championship, Vortex VTM presents itself at the start of the first round of the WSK Euro Series at Franciacorta with the favour of the odds in the MINI Gr.3 class. Oliver Sini (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Leonardo Gorski (Tony Kart Racing Team) immediately confirm the expectations in the qualifying heats, where they both score a victory and a third place and continue their positive path in the pre-finals on Sunday morning, with the Indonesian driver first in the "B" and the Polish fourth in the "A" pre-final.
The final immediately sees Gorski fighting for the lead of the category: at the start he gains third position and, after a few corners, moves up to second. Already in the second lap, the young Tony Kart Racing Team's driver takes the lead and remains in contention for the victory for the rest of the race. At the end of the ten scheduled laps, Gorski crosses the finish line in second place.
Jumped from the first row, Sini is forced to go off the track due to collision with another competitor on the first lap going to the back of the grid. However, the Asian driver makes an excellent 14-place comeback and scores a top-10 finish. Henri Kumpen (Tony Kart Racing Team) also attends the last race of the weekend.
In the MINI Gr.3 U10, Linghan Li (Tony Kart Racing Team) shows off in the B-D heat, where he recovers 16 positions than the start climbing 23 positions in the intermediate ranking. After a fifth place in the A pre-final, the Chinese driver finishes the Sunday afternoon's final.
