Vortex at the high-level of the WSK Super Master SERIES in Sarno

12-02-2025

In the second round of the Championship, at the “Circuito Internazionale Napoli”, the engines of the ‘engine division’ prove to be reliable and competitive in all classes, with impressive performances.

KZ2 – After the podium in the first round at Muro Leccese, the VTZ engine shows its competitiveness also at the second round of the championship at Sarno. Marijn Kremers (Tony Kart Racing Team) records the fourth best time in the group in qualifying and then takes a victory and a second place in the following qualifying.

After the perfect start from the second row of starting grid, the Dutchman initially occupies the third place in the final before momentarily taking the lead on the second lap. At the end of the 15 laps in the programme, Vortex scored an important top 5 position.

OK - The VTS power unit occupies the top ranks starting from the qualifying session, where Jindřich Pešl (Tony Kart Racing Team) sets the third best time in Group 1. The Czech driver also achieves three top 3 results in the qualifying heat and finishes second in Sunday morning's Prefinal B.

From the second row of starting grid Pešl immediately moves up to third position and keeps the rhythm of the drivers in front of him, but a contact and subsequent penalty for an incorrectly positioned front spoiler ruins his final result.

Thomas Pradier (Tony Kart Racing Team), Gustaw Wiśniewski (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Oliver Rasmussen (Tony Kart Racing Team) also take part in the last race of the weekend.

OKJ – It’s a positive start to the weekend for the Vortex VTJ engine, with Augustus Toniolo (Tony Kart Racing Team) the fastest time in his group in qualifying and Sebastian Eskandari Marandi (Tony Kart Racing Team) fourth in Group No. 2.

In the next qualifying heats, the engine of OTK Kart Group's engine division, collects two wins and a second place in the qualifying heats with Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Eskandari Marandi.

The final starts with Crisan in third position: the Canadian, in the first laps, is in full battle for the lead of the race and arrives at the finish line positioned among the top ten. Toniolo, Julian Frasnelli (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Eskandari Marandi follow their teammate in the classification.

MINI Gr.3 – The VTM engine also shows excellent potential during the weekend at Sarno. In the qualifyings it is fourth in Group No. 2 with Jean Poujol (Tony Kart Racing Team) and therefore able to achieve a second place in the qualifying heat and a second position as well in the A pre-final.

Poujol starts the final in the top positions, but an accident after a few corners forces him to restart from the back. Miguel Enrique Manzano Suarez (Tony Kart Racing Team), Andrea Iannone (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Victor Thomas Gorun (Tony Kart Racing Team) take part in the final race on Sunday afternoon.
