Vortex: pole position and podium at WSK in Lonato del Garda

On the occasion of the third round of the WSK Super Master Series, the VTJ unit of the OTK Kart Group’s “engine division” hits the third place in OKJ class, after being proved to be the fastest in the qualifying heats,.

OKJ – The Vortex VTJ is constantly at the top places of the ‘Junior’ ranking, which sees a strong attendance of not less than 83 drivers. Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart Racing Team) takes the pole position in the qualifying heats, thanks to a best chrono time of 47.009 seconds, and achieves a haul of two wins and a third place in the qualifying heats. In addition, the Canadian driver is able to finish ahead of everyone the Prefinal A on Sunday morning.

From the first position on the grid, Crisan leads the final in the first six laps, after which he runs still in the fight for the win, to then ending the weekend by climbing onto the third step of the podium. Augustus Toniolo (Tony Kart Racing Team) narrowly misses the top-10 list, while Mateo Rivals (Tony Kart Racing Team) shows off his skills with a comeback of eight positions after finishing third in Group 2 of the chrono practices.

MINI Gr.3 – Once again, the VTM engine takes the top positions in the category. In the qualifying heats, he places third in Group 2 with Jean Poujol (Tony Kart Racing Team) and is able to take the second place in the next qualifying heats. With Victor Thomas Gorun (Tony Kart Racing Team), however, he is third in Prefinal A.

Despite the difficult weather conditions, the final sees the Vortex VTM in the running for a strong result. Gorun passes under the chequered flag ranking in the top-5, just ahead of his teammate Poujol. Linghan Li (Tony Kart Racing Team) is also at the starting grid of the last race of the weekend.

Among the Under-10s, Farel Dugat Beretta (Tony Kart Racing Team) stands out with a 13-position comeback during the Sunday's final.

OK - The VTS engine performs positively in Lonato del Garda, growing steadily over the weekend with Jindřich Pešl (Tony Kart Racing Team). The Czech driver files the qualifying heats with a third place as his best result, gaining the third place in the A pre-final. Only a series of collisions prevent Pešl from achieving a significant result in the final.

KZ2 - The path of the Vortex VTZ, author of a podium on the occasion of the first round of the championship in Muro Leccese, continues. Tom Leuillet (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Marijn Kremers (Tony Kart Racing Team) obtain some interesting results in the whole weekend, training for the next seasonal appointments.
